Position Overview

The National Secretary is a pivotal position within the National Executive Committee. Tasked with managing the organisation's daily administrative operations and ensuring consistent communication within the NEC and with affiliates, the National Secretary plays an essential role in the smooth functioning and forward momentum of England Roller Hockey.

Primary Responsibilities

Communication Management: Act as the central conduit for all formal correspondences pertaining to the NEC and to Affilates.

Administrative Oversight: Handle core administrative responsibilities, including scheduling meetings, documenting minutes, and upholding the integrity of association records.

Document Management: Establish and maintain a systematic filing protocol for all association documents, ensuring orderliness and ease of access.

Information Dissemination: Ensure timely communication of essential data and decisions to affiliates and NEC members.

Membership Management: Oversee the association registration database and efficiently supervise the membership registration process.

Event Coordination: Aid in the preparation and execution of association events, encompassing responsibilities from scheduling to essential documentation.

External Relations: Develop and sustain productive relationships with pertinent external stakeholders, spanning other roller hockey entities to potential sponsors.

NEC Participation: Regularly attend NEC meetings, offering updates and partaking in discussions as required.

Qualifications

Organisational Efficiency: Demonstrated skill in managing administrative tasks with precision and a high degree of organisation.

Effective Communication: Proficient in both written and oral communication, capable of conveying information clearly and succinctly.

Task Management: Ability to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently, prioritising as needed.

Technical Proficiency: Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Team Collaboration: Previous experience in collaborative settings, preferably with volunteer-led teams.

Sports Affiliation: A foundational understanding of roller hockey or an affinity for sports management would be advantageous.
